This dog needs a short term foster home for a few weeks!

Blue needs a foster home ASAP!

Blue

Blue is approximately 3-4 years old, Shar Pei Staffordshire mix, he’s neutered and 64lbs.  He’s housetrained and knows basic commands.  He’s very friendly and has lived with other pets and a child.  He’s very friendly, but he’s a strong boy so he needs a strong foster mom or dad.  Blue will need a foster in order to pull him from a high kill shelter, then we’ll work to transfer him to a rural shelter where they can find him a forever home.

URGENT! Champ Sweet Pointer Mix Pup Needs Foster or Adopter ASAP!

Champ IIChampChamp I Champ III

Urgent! “Help Champ!” – Sweet Pointer Mix Pup Needs Foster Home or Adopter ASAP!

“Champ” is a handsome boy that the shelter thinks is a black and white Pointer mix. He is as sweet as can be and about 5 months old. He still has “puppy energy” and will need more basic training, but he also enjoys some quiet time and getting affection from his humans. He is good with other dogs and unknown around cats. He is neutered and up-to-date on his shots.

Sadly Champ ended up at an overcrowded rural shelter due to no fault of his own, and is ”Out Of Time”. He is on borrowed time, but if we can find a foster home he can be pulled from the shelter by The Dog Shack.

If you are interested in fostering or doing foster-to-adopt, please email with your name, current email address, phone number and location, and we will be in touch soon!

Thank you for considering to help save a deserving former shelter dog!!!

Zoe IIIZoe IIZoe

Urgent! “Help Zoe!” – Sweet Little Tri-Color Terrier-Chi Mix Needs Foster or Adopter ASAP!

“Zoe” is an adorable little tri-color terrier-chi mix. She is a super sweet and easy dog that is very affectionate with her humans. She also does well with other dogs and will make a great addition to a loving family. She is spayed and up-to-date on her shots.

Sadly Zoe ended up at an overcrowded rural shelter due to no fault of her own, and was “Out Of Time”. If you could be her hero by offering your heart and home for a few weeks, or foster to adopt her which would be even better!

We are an all-volunteer Northern California based 501c non-profit dog rescue that finds loving homes for dogs on death row in over-crowded kill shelters. If you can help us save Zoe by fostering or doing foster-to-adopt, please email with your name, current email address, phone number and location, and we will be in touch soon!

Delilah – Needs a Foster or Home!

Delilah IIDelilah IDelilah

Meet Delilah!

Urgent! Sweet Young Female Lab Mix Needs Foster Home or Adopter ASAP! (All Bay Area)

“Hey There Delilah”…
Darling Delilah is a very pretty female black Lab mix with a perfect manageable build, weighing about 70lbs. She’s 3 – 4 years young.  She is as sweet as can be and everyone she meets falls in love with her. Who wouldn’t – just look at her precious face and soulful eyes!
Sadly she ended up at a small rural overcrowded shelter when her family decided they didn’t have enough time for her, and now she is out of time!

If you could be her hero by offering your heart and home for a few weeks, then together we can save her and give her the second chance she deserves. All costs are covered, including medical and supplies. You just supply the love, guidance and temporary home, while we search for a great forever family.

Delilah will make a great addition to a family. She appears good with other dogs at the shelter, but cats are unknown.  Delilah would prefer to be in the company of people more than anything else, she is not a backyard dog candidate – she prefers having her human around.

Please email with your name, phone number and location, and we will be in touch soon!

Molly – Needs a Foster or Adopter

MollyMolly

MEET MOLLY! – NEEDS FOSTER OR ADOPTER ASAP!

“Good Golly, Miss Molly!!” – this sweet tan and white pittie mix girl is sure to win your heart! She is about 5years old with a perfect medium size build at a lean 50lbs, and is already fully vetted (spayed, up-to-date on shots, and Heartworm negative).

Molly loves people and enjoys getting lots of affection and also play time too. She walks well on a leash, and is learning some basic commands and takes treat gently, so she will do well with someone who will continue her training. She enjoys car rides and sits contentedly (almost like a person) and would like to join you on your daily outings. When it is time to relax, she kennels well and is very mellow, clean and rarely barks. She is dog friendly and has shown only curiosity around cats but no strong prey drive.

Molly’s photos show what a pretty girl she is with a darling face. Take a look at her videos to see how well she does with meeting people, playing with other dogs, and her reaction around a cat.

Molly’s Background Story…
Molly was found as a stray on the streets in Socal and was taken in by a good samaritan that owned a kennel/boarding facility. Molly stayed at her kennel for several months but then recently it went out of business, and sadly the owner was not able to take Molly into her home. When all options were exhausted, it looked like Molly was facing having to go to the local shelter – an over-crowded high-kill facility where pitbulls have no chance to make it out! When the kennel worker that had cared for Molly heard about her situation, she was heartbroken and did not want her to face being put down. She stepped up and took Molly and found her a few temporary foster homes to take her in. Molly has been moving “home-to-home” the past few weeks but now she urgently needs either a permanent forever home or a more committed foster home.

Molly is an all around great girl and she will make a wonderful addition to a suitable matching home. If you would like to make Molly a part of your family and can offer her a permanent loving forever home (or even a foster home), please contact us ASAP by email at:

MEET NATE – NEEDS FOSTER OR ADOPTER ASAP!

About Nate

MEET NATE – NEEDS FOSTER OR ADOPTER ASAP!

Nate is a handsome male white colored German Shepherd/Husky mix that is about 2 years old. Although he is a large breed mix, he is a nice manageable size, weighing about 60 – 70lbs. He has a gorgeous thick white coat, which has given him the nickname “Mr. Fluff” by his rescuers. :-)

Nate found himself in a high-kill shelter in Socal and he was very unhappy and fearful in his lonely strange surroundings. He ended up on Death Row and was out of time when we heard about his plight and knew we had to step up to help save him. Thankfully we were able to get him pulled out to save his life and have him transported up to Dog Shack in Norcal.

Some friends of Dog Shack kindly took him into their home for a short time, to help him decompress from his traumatic shelter experience. They have said that he has already started to really enjoy life again and become a happy, loving dog. He is a sweetheart and will give kisses and is generally quite mellow and rarely barks. Also he likes walks and does fine on a sensation harness.

Now Nate needs either a foster home or a permanent home. We are still learning more about him and he is still working on overcoming some fears, so we feel he would be best suited to a dog savvy home with large breed experience and no young little children. Also, although he seems to do fine with other dogs, it is preferable that for now he is the only dog in the home. He would likely do best in a more quiet or rural setting, rather than near busy city life.

If you could be a great match for Nate, to provide him a foster home or permanent home (we also offer foster-to-adopt), please contact us ASAP by email at: pets.katrina@gmail.com

Louise – Needs a Foster of Home URGENT

Happy LouiseLouise Tail Waggin'Sweet LouiseBuffy

MEET LOUISE! – She Needs an ADOPTER or FOSTER ASAP!

Sweet Louise is a darling young girl that is a light tan and white Pit – Lab mix. She is about 1 year old and has a nice compact build, weighing about 39 pounds. She is a friendly girl and seems fine with other dogs.

At the shelter where we saved her, she was kenneled with another female dog and they got along great. This girl has spunk and energy, and she’s also very comfortable in her own skin – as you can see by the photo of her on her back, belly exposed for a good rub!

She will make a great addition to any family that is her suitable match.

(Note: We do not know how she is with cats.)

If you are interested in Adopting or Fostering Louise, please contact us ASAP by email at: pets.katrina@gmail.com

Sage – Needs a Foster or Home Urgently!

SageSage II

MEET SAGE! – NEEDS ADOPTER OR FOSTER ASAP!!

SAGE is a Sight hound/shepherd mix and weighs about 76lbs.  He is just 2 years old. An elegant boy, he is super sensitive and very smart.

He has lived with cats and children.  Sage has undergone extensive obedience training.  He likes most dogs (we have video of him  in A dog park with other dogs with a trainer),  but he would be happier in an only dog home.

He likes to go for walks, runs or hikes, but is just as content to relax and be with his people. He has all his shots, is neutered and micro-chipped.

If you are interested in Adopting Sage, please contact us ASAP by email at:
pets.katrina@gmail.com.
